WEBSTER, TX — A Texas nursing home is asking for mail for its residents to brighten their day amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Residents at Heartis Senior Living took to Facebook to ask for pictures, letters or drawings. Governor Abbott issued a declaration barring visitors to nursing homes in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The center says they have prepared an isolation area for deliveries, where items will be disinfected and held for 72 hours prior to delivery to the residents.

Pictures, letters and drawings can be sent to Heartis Senior Living at 14520 Highway 3, Webster, TX, 77598.
