Southwest has landed in Hawaii and starting Monday, you can book your flights.
While you can't fly there directly from Texas, Southwest is offering flights cheaper than ever before.
Flights begin on March 17 from Oakland to Honolulu, which were listed as low as $49 one-way on Monday morning. Southwest will also offer other interisland service options including Honolulu to Maui or Kona starting at $29 one-way.
Soon, the carrier will begin Hawaii-destined flights out of more mainland airports, starting with California.
"Hawaii, we’re in this for good," said Gary Kelly, Southwest Airlines’ Chairman & Chief Executive Officer. "Mahalo from all 60,000 of us at Southwest for the warm aloha you’ve shared ahead of our arrival and please know how excited we are to share our Southwest Hospitality with you."
Southwest even created a
website dedicated to Hawaii flights
for more information. As with all other Southwest flights, your first two bags fly for free.
