FORT WORTH, TX — A 6-month-old boy reportedly died on Monday morning after his mother fell asleep with him in a bathtub.
According to Fox4, Fort Worth police were called out to the home just before 6 a.m.
The mother was with the twin infant and she fell asleep. When she woke back up, the baby was under the water and unresponsive.
Fox4 said the baby was brought to Cook Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Child Protective Services has been notified of the incident. CBS11 said the other twin was not harmed and is being looked after by an officer.
According to CBS11, at least three North Texas children have drowned in bathtubs so far this year.
