DALLAS, TX — The Dallas Police Department has cleared the area after reports of a suspicious vehicle parked outside the Federal Courthouse building. The building was evacuated and several streets were closed off, but now, the coast is clear.

This comes only one week after a shooting occurred outside the same courthouse in downtown Dallas.

An unmarked truck was parked outside the federal courthouse this morning, prompting a call to the police and an evacuation of the building.

Dallas police posted on their Twitter page that eastbound Commerce Street to Akard Street and both directions on Jackson Street from Austin to Akard St. have been closed to the public. They're also requesting that media helicopters do not live stream or do flyovers in the area for their own safety.

Several buildings on the block have been evacuated, and police are still working to secure the area.
