SAN MARCOS, TX — Two Texas State University students were found dead in their home after an apparent murder/suicide San Marcos Police said.
A friend of the two men found them and called police on Sunday morning.
Police believe Matthew Bond Pfluger shot Connor Patrick Shannon multiple times in the home before attempting to take his own life with a knife. He then went into the backyard and shot himself in the head.
Police said the two men, both 24 years old, were close friends.
This is the fourth homicide investigation in San Marcos and second murder/suicide for the year.
