Police searching for missing 12-year-old girl

BOERNE, TX — The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 12-year-old girl.

Makenzie Elyse Galarza Miller was last seen at her home around 8 p.m. on October 16 in the 8000 block of Starr Ranch Road in Boerne.

She is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing ripped blue jeans, a ripped crop-top t-shirt with red lettering, and marroon checkered Vans slip-on shoes.

Makenzie is reported to have some health conditions which require medications.

Anyone with information on Makenzie's location is asked to contact the Bexar County Sheriff's Office Missing Persons Unit at missingpersons@bexar.org or call (210) 335-6000.

According to BCSO, those found harboring Makenzie may face charges for harboring a runaway, which is a class a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail with a fine not to exceed $5,000. Persons could also be charged with interfering with child custody, which is a state jail felony punishable with up to 2 years in jail with a fine not to exceed $10,000.
