KERENS, TX — (UPDATE: December 8, 9:30 a.m.) The Kerens Police Department have found the woman who walked out of an area nursing home unseen by staff.

Police say Mrs. Patterson was found and has been transported to the Navarro County Regional Hospital.

(UPDATE: December 6) Kerens police say the woman is wearing a black medical boot from a recent surgical procedure.

The Kerens Police Department is looking for a missing woman from Kerens Care Center since Thursday, December 5.

Police said that Cynthia Patterson walked out of the center unseen by staff. She is known to have mental illness and other health issues.

They believe that she may have been trying to make her way to Malakoff or Athens.
