HOUSTON, TX — Houston police are investigating after a 1-year-old was shot due to a case of road rage, according to KTRK.
Police responded to a report of a shooting near a gas station at 8601 Southwest Freeway around 1:15 p.m.
HPD commanders, Major Assaults detectives & PIO are en route to scene of a child shot near a gas station at 8601 Southwest Fwy inbound. Preliminary info is the child was transported to an area hospital with at least one gunshot wound in an unknown condition. #hounews

They said the suspect started shooting into a victim's car which had a 1-year-old and another child inside.
After the shooting, the victim's father pulled into a gas station to help the child, who was shot in the upper shoulder area.
Police said the father accidentally cut the suspect off before the shooting. The father said he tried to apologize to the suspect, but the suspect began waving a gun.
