One death due to a vaping-related illness has been reported in Texas.
According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, as of October 7, one death has been reported, along with 50 confirmed cases of the severe pulmonary disease and 45 probable cases.
Six cases have been reported in Central Texas.
The disease has been connected to individuals who report vaping.
According to the department, more than 928,000 Texas adults reported current e-cigarette use in 2017.
