One dead after small plane crashes in San Marcos

SAN MARCOS, TX — One person is dead after a small passenger plane crashed in San Marcos, according to CBS Austin.

The plane took off from the regional airport in San Marcos around 5:54 a.m. and lost contact with traffic control one minute afterwards.

The plane was located over 2 hours later on ALERRT Center property.

One victim has been located. Their identity has not been released.
