EL PASO, TX — An El Paso man has been arrested for transporting a minor across the Southwest and Midwest United States with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

On Friday, December 6, the FBI arrested 57-year-old Travis Wayne Vavra of El Paso.

In 2015, Vavra allegedly provided individuals with a flyer advertising free trips across the country for children. The FBI says a smiliar flyer appeared on social media channels this past weekend.

Over the past five years, Vavra allegedly transported a minor victim from Texas to states throughout the Southwest and Midwest with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

The FBI El Paso Division's Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force is investigating this case and is asking for the public's help in locating other potential victims.

Anyone with information related to the case is asked to call the FBI at (915) 832-5000.

If convicted, Vavra faces between 10 years to life in prison.
