EL PASO, TX — The El Paso County Sheriff's Officers Association organized an escort for the daughter of a fallen deputy.
According to officials, several law enforcement agencies escorted the daughter of fallen deputy Peter Herrera into school Monday morning.
Last week, deputy Herrera, who was critically wounded in a shooting during a traffic stop, died.
Authorities had said on Friday that they expected Herrera to survive the shooting because he was wearing a protective vest.
