HOUSTON, TX — A woman sleeping outside a strip center in Houston was set on fire late Tuesday night.
The incident, which happened in southwest Houston in the 4200 block of S. Kirkwood Road, is being investigated as an arson.
The woman reported to police that she was sleeping when an unknown suspect lit her on fire.
According to KPRC, witnesses dragged the woman away from the fire and extinguished it, but not before the woman was engulfed in the flames.
The woman was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police said she is expected to survive.
