H-E-B announced changes to its home delivery orders on Thursday.
As part of an effort to protect its customers and employees, and to slow the spread of the coronavirus, H-E-B home delivery orders will be dropped off at their customer's doorstep.
Delivery drivers will now leave all home delivery orders at the customer’s doorstep, eliminating close personal interaction.
H-E-B says customers will be contacted when deliveries arrive and are reminded to promptly refrigerate perishable food items upon delivery.
As an added precaution, Curbside and Home Delivery customers no longer need to touch the mobile device screen to acknowledge their order was received.
