BRADY, TX — A Georgetown man has been arrested after allegedly evading DPS during a traffic stop and attempting to fire a gun at Troopers.
On Monday, January 11 in Brady, Texas, DPS attempted to pull over a white Cadillac Escalade.
Authorities say the driver evaded arrest for roughly two city blocks before stopping and attempting to discharge a firearm out of the driver side window.
DPS says the driver continued to evade, abandoned the vehicle on private property and took off on foot.
The driver was identified as 33-year-old Justin Dunway Friar of Georgetown.
Around 7:30 p.m., Friar was located in a home in the city of Miles and taken into custody by DPS Troopers, Special Agents and Texas Rangers without any incident.
