MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — The Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's help in locating a commercial vehicle that hit a bicyclist.

DPS says around 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, Troopers responded to 21862 Gene Campbell Boulevard in Montgomery County for an auto-pedestrian crash.

When Troopers arrived, they found a bicyclist was traveling westbound on Gene Campbell Boulevard on the westbound side when they were struck from behind by an unknown vehicle, also traveling westbound.

DPS says the investigation shows that the bicyclist was struck by what is commonly known as a commercial vehicle- a dump truck, 18-wheeler, etc.

The department believes if a CMV was involved, it would have possible damage to the front right of the vehicle or damage to the front right tire. It will be missing lug nut covers and a hubcap.

Any witness or anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Wilson at (281) 577-8972.
