DALLAS — A Dallas officer that crashed while speeding down Mockingbird Lane has died, according to FOX4 in Dallas.
The Dallas Police Department said that Officer Joseph George died on Tuesday. He was a four year veteran of the department and assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division.
FOX4 obtained video that showed the officer apparently racing his Mustang with a white Suzuki.
He lost control of his car, hit a tree in front of a home and the vehicle burst into flames.
Police are still looking for the driver of the white Suzuki.
