Suspect in custody after barricading themselves in vehicle

COLLEGE STATION, TX — (UPDATE: September 5, 2019, 9:15 p.m.) The suspect is now in custody, according to the College Station Police Department.

He was identified as 34-year-old Tyler Stevens Clark from San Antonio.

He was arrested on a parole violation warrant out of Bexar County for possession of a controlled substance. He was also being charged with an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.

A suspect is barricaded in a vehicle along South Highway 6, according to the College Station Police Department.

According to College Station PD, around 7:30 p.m., officers located a vehicle they believed to be stolen near Rock Prairie Road and South Highway 6.

Officers pulled over the car, however the suspect refused to exit the vehicle.

College Station PD is currently negotiating with the suspect. The department is asking people to avoid the area.
