HOUSTON, TX — Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa donated $10,000 to the family of fallen Harris County Sheriff's Office deputy Sandeep Dhaliwal.
Deputy Dhaliwal was shot in the back of the head during a traffic stop in Harris County on Friday. He died from his injuries.
Correa also visited with Dhaliwal's family.

In a tweet, Correa thanked Deputy Dhaliwal for "everything you did to help others here in Houston and Puerto Rico," and said he will "always be remembered."
