Austin girl found safe after AMBER alert

AUSTIN, TX — UPDATE: Austin authorities say the 12-year-old girl has been found safe.

Austin ISD Police Department Chief Ashley Gonzalez said Avery Reynolds had been located and appears to be OK.

"Shout out to Travis County Precinct 5, and other Law Enforcement for their relentless efforts and assistance, and concerned citizens who called in w/ info" Gonzalez tweeted.

An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing 12-year-old Austin girl who may be with her mother.

The Texas Department of Public Safety are asking for sightings of a black 2005 Mazda Tribute S with Texas license plate DTM 3557.

The missing girl, Avery Reynolds, is 5 feet 2 inches with brown eyes and brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie with "SMALL" in black letters, black leggings, and aqua Nike shoes. She also has red framed glasses.

Avery's mother, Kassia Vaughan, is 43-years-old. She is 5 feet 1 inches tall with brown eyes and brown hair.
