Alamo Colleges offering students emergency aid during pandemic

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Alamo Colleges in San Antonio is now offering aid and free college courses to students who have already signed up for summer classes.

The student emergency aid is offered to the students who need temporary assistance to pay for things such as technology access, groceries, rent, utility bills, childcare and healthcare expenses.

To be eligible for the aid, students must have been enrolled full-time or part-time during Spring 2020 semester or be enrolled in either, Maymester 2020, Summer I 2020 or Summer II 2020. The students must also be a U.S. citizen and meet satisfactory academic progress requirements.

Students can apply for emergency aid through the Alamo Colleges website.

Additionally, Alamo Colleges says it will expand its summer momentum program to offer students six to nine credit hours of free courses over the summer.
