SPRING BRANCH, TX — Over 40 animals were rescued from horrifying conditions in the Spring Branch last week.

The Houston Humane Society said on Sept. 11, the Harris County Animal Cruelty Taskforce was tipped off by neighbors in the Spring Branch Community regarding a possible hoarding situation.

The team rescued 38 dogs and 10 cats as a result of the tip. They were rescued from horrifying conditions.

There were feces and urine stains on the floors, walls and counter tops. The animals are being housed in the shelter and are all in stable condition.

Some of the animals are anemic, heartworm positive and malnourished. Other animals have serious eye, ear and skin infections, are covered in mange, have open sores, scabies and are infested with fleas.

The humane society is asking for donations to help treat the animals that have come to them in heartbreaking conditions.

There is an Amazon wishlist for food donations. They can also be dropped off at the shelter.
