ODESSA, TX — A 15-year-old boy was arrested in Odessa after police said he was reportedly seen spitting into an Arizona Iced Tea drink in an Albertson's.
According to WFAA, an officer was dispatched to an Albertson's on July 15 around 10 p.m. When the officer arrived, the teen was detained by a store protection officer.
The two officers said they reviewed the security footage and saw the boy picking up the tea bottle, put his mouth on it and then put it back on the shelf.
According to investigators, the teen told officers he took a sip of the drink ad "put it back because it was gross."
The teen was arrested and charged with tampering with a consumer product and taken to the Ector County Youth Center.
The incident comes after a viral video of a teen licking a Blue Bell ice cream carton and putting it back on the shelf in Lufkin.
