ROCKDALE, TX — A firefighter is in the hospital after being hit by a drunk driver.
According to the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page, Lieutenant John Villareal was hit on the driver side of his vehicle while backing into his driveway Friday night.
Villareal had to be extricated from his truck and was taken to Seton Medial Center in Williamson County in an unknown condition.
The woman that hit Villareal was arrested by the Rockdale Police Department on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
