FORT HOOD — Fort Hood officials have confirmed that rumors of an active shooter are false.
The rumors began swirling after word of an active duty soldier making threats started to spread.
Officials confirmed that an active duty soldier did make homicidal threats towards his leadership. He is currently in custody by Fort Hood law enforcement officers.
No shots were ever fired on post and an active shooter situation did not occur, according to Tom Rheinlander, Director, Fort Hood Public Affairs.
