United Way of the Brazos Valley to host free face mask distribution event

COLLEGE STATION, TX — The United Way of Brazos Valley will distribute free face masks during a drive-thru event on Wednesday.

United Way of the Brazos Valley will give away free face masks during its second drive-thru distribution event on Wednesday, Jul. 15, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Veterans Park in College Station.

Approximately 11,000 face masks will be distributed by the United Way of the Brazos Valley, including surgical masks donated by Brazos County Emergency Management and N95 masks donated by Lowe’s Home Improvement.

The face masks will be distributed in bundles of five, starting with bundles of N95 masks while supplies last. Limit of one facemask bundle per car, while supplies last.

Residents can pick up the bundle at Veterans Park, 1301 Harvey Rd., College Station, TX 77802.

Drivers are asked to enter on Veterans Parkway from University Drive and follow the signs.

Drivers are then asked to exit Veterans Park on Harvey Road.

There is no cost, registration or identification requirement to receive a free face mask bundle, according to UWBV.

Residents do not need to leave their car to receive a bundle as United Way of the Brazos Valley staff and volunteers will be on hand to pass bundles through the passenger window.
