COLLEGE STATION, TX — College Station Police and College Station Fire are currently working an oil spill near Highway 6 that has northbound lanes shut down until at least noon.

All northbound SH 6 traffic is being diverted onto the East Feeder Road via the FM 2818 exit due to an oil spill from a dump truck, according to police.

Four vehicles spun out due to the spill, including one tow truck (while towing another vehicle). Police say no one was injured.

Traffic can renter northbound SH 6 via the on-ramp between Southwest Parkway and Harvey Road.

Bryan TxDOT is en route to clean up the spill. The cleanup is estimated to take until noon or 12:30.

Police previously tweeted that units were working a traffic incident on Earl Rudder Fw/Harvey Mitchell in the northbound lanes.

Northbound lanes are currently shut down until further notice.

Please avoid the area.
