BRYAN, TX — A distracted driver crashed into a building in Bryan Wednesday afternoon, sending one person to the hospital.
Bryan PD says the incident happened in the 1200 block of West William Joel Bryan.
A 20-year-old woman was driving a Nissan Altima west on William Joel Bryan when she became distracted and left the roadway. Her vehicle struck the building.
The driver was taken to CHI St. Joseph's Hospital for non-incapacitating injuries. A 16-month-old passenger was not injured, but was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
A 34-year-old man inside the building was taken to the hospital for his injuries. Bryan PD says he was reported to be in serious but stable condition.
Police say no other vehicles were involved. The driver was issued a citation for failing to maintain a single lane and no insurance.
