George W. Bush Presidential Library to close amid coronavirus spread

DALLAS, TX — The George W. Bush Presidential Library announced it will close due to the growing coronavirus concern.

The library announced starting at the close of business on Friday, March 13, all National Archives research rooms and museums will be closed to the public until further notice.

Staff will still serve the public remotely by responding to emailed requests to inquire@nara.gov for records and via History Hub inquiries.

All public events in National Archives facilities nationwide are canceled until further notice. This includes in-person public programs, tours, school group visits, public meetings, external conferences and facility rentals.

The library said they are working with public health officials and their counterpart agencies to monitor and respond to the evolving conditions.
