A pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after they were hit by an SUV.
The crash happened around 4:50 p.m. at the intersection of Rock Prairie Road and State Highway 6.
College Station PD says an SUV was traveling eastbound on Rock Prairie when it ran a red light at the SH 6 West Feeder. The SUV was hit by a southbound SUV.
The first SUV was pushed onto the southeast corner sidewalk, striking a pedestrian who was holding an advertising sign.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. They were then taken by helicopter to a hospital in Temple for further treatment. College Station PD says their injuries are incapacitating but non-life threatening.
All lanes were shut down for a few hours and have since reopened.
All eastbound and westbound lanes are now closed at this location until further notice.
