COLLEGE STATION, TX — The College Station Police Department tweeted that there were no gunshots and no weapons displayed after saying they were responding to an active shooter threat.
They said that the sounds reported were most likely the sound of breaking glass at Zales. Police said the incident was a theft, calling it a "smash and grab."
Police said that due to reports of an active shooter, they immediately started active shooter protocol.
They are saying that if you are sheltering in place, you are able to leave.
Police said this incident is still under investigation.
Post Oak Mall is located on 1500 Harvey Rd. in College Station.
