BRYAN, TX — UPDATE: The driver was identified as Kandice Brooke Gates, a 37 year old female from Marquez, Texas.
On May 27, 2020, at 10:00 pm Bryan Police Officers responded to 1600 block of N. Earl Rudder Frwy for a major accident.
A vehicle was traveling Northbound on the Northbound feeder when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
At this time the name is not being released pending family notification.
The Northbound feeder traffic was being diverted onto Old Kurten Rd. but the road is now open.
