Bryan Police arrest man with previous theft convictions for stealing at Walmart

BRYAN, TX — The Bryan Police Department says they arrested a man for shoplifting who was previously convicted of theft.

According to officers, they responded to a shoplifter in custody at Walmart on 635 N Harvey Mitchell Pkwy on Feb 1.

The suspect, Michael Scott Micheau, was observed concealing merchandise in his jacket pocket.

Micheau was in custody by an asset protection employee when officers arrived.

Police say prior to their arrival, they ran a check on Micheau and found that he was wanted for a parole violation out of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for robbery.

The warrant also showed an alert that the suspect was known to have violent tendencies.

Micheau was attempting to steal two twelve count packages of razors and four packages of body wash, totaling $89.79

The Walmart asset protection employee reported that he observed Micheau acting nervously while in the store. He continued to observe Micheau and witnessed him opening a package of razors and concealing them in his jacket pocket.

Police transported Micheau to the Brazos County Detention Center where he was booked for Theft < $100 with previous conviction and the outstanding parole violation warrant.
