BRYAN, TX — Customers of the Bryan Aquatic Center will have to wait one more week before they can return to the pool. Aquatic Center staff say the reopening has been delayed.

The City of Bryan extended the closure of the BAC to make the improvements to the parking lot and locker rooms in order to bring them up to ADA standards for 2020.

"So we've been doing some ADA renovations at the facility just to get them up to the new ADA standards, and we just ran into some delays," said Marty Mulgrew, Aquatic Center Supervisor. "When you start opening up walls, you find some hidden stuff that's not there that you weren't necessarily expecting to be there and then just making sure that we're doing everything the right way and working with the contractor to get the work done."

The center is now set to open Monday, February 17.
