UPDATE: The victim of Saturday evening’s shooting has succumbed to his injuries, according to police.
The victim is identified as 38-year-old Roderick Keith Harris. Next of kin have been notified.
This case is still under investigation.

A man is in the hospital Saturday after a shooting near East Young Avenue.
Temple Police officers responded to a shooting Saturday evening in the 600 block of East Young Avenue.
Officers were dispatched to a shots-fired call at about 7:45 p.m.
A single male victim was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple with a gunshot wound, according to police.
No suspects have been identified at this time.
Temple Police say the circumstances of this incident are under investigation.
