BELL COUNTY, TX — Major crash in the eastbound lanes of IH-14 near the Clear Creek overpass. Anthony Ty-Shawn Alston, 24, of Columbia, South Carolina, was traveling westbound on I-14.
According to witness accounts, Alston used faulty evasive action, steering the Dodge hard to the left while traveling in the outside lane. From there the Dodge lost control and went into a side skid across all lanes, striking a guardrail.
The Dodge then rolled over multiple times in the median. At the time of the crash, Alton was not wearing a safety belt and was ejected from the vehicle. Alston was pronounced deceased at the scene at 3:40 P.M by Justice of the Peace John Guinn.
