Seven people arrested following gang activity over Christmas holiday in Killeen

KILLEEN, TX — Several arrests have been made in connection to gang activity that happened over the Christmas holiday in Killeen.

Officers responded to three gang-related shootings over the course of the Christmas holiday, December 26 through December 27. Two of the shootings happened within hours of each other and sent three people to the hospital.

Through the investigation, detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division discovered the subjects involved to be affiliated with the gangs Young Paper Chasers (YPC) and K-Town Mafia (KTM). One juvenile and six adults have been located and arrested in connection to the drive-by shooting on Alma Drive.

Detectives recovered seven firearms and "narcotics in wholesale amounts" during the investigation. Some of the suspects also had outstanding warrants.

Potential charges include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, deadly conduct and various weapon and drug-related charges.

While arrests have been made, Killeen PD says the shootings are still being investigated.
