KILLEEN, TX — Killeen ISD is investigating an alleged threat made against Live Oak Ridge Middle School.
"As soon as we learned of the comments of a potential act of violence regarding Live Oak Ridge Middle School we contacted KISD police," said Killeen ISD in a statement. "They are actively investigating to identify any students involved and determine the validity of the claim."
At this time, Killeen ISD says they do not believe the threat is credible.
However, the district says they are still taking every precaution, as they always do, anytime there is a threat involving violence.
The district released a statement saying they have increased police presence at the campus as a precaution.
