KILLEEN, TX — Killeen police said a woman who was crossing Interstate 14 was hit and killed by a car late Thursday night.
Police said the woman, identified as 27-year-old Larnesha Danielle Westbrook, was walking southbound across the eastbound lanes just before midnight when she entered the path of a red Chevy Sonic. The car was about to take the Stan Schlueter exit before the crash.
The driver of the Chevy was not hurt.
Westbrook was taken to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights where she was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Killeen police say they will continue to investigate the crash.
