Police: Suspects cut through wall, took $500,000-worth of jewelry from Salado jewelry store safe

SALADO, TX — The Village of Salado Police Department is searching for two suspects who allegedly cut through a wall to gain access to a jewelry store safe then took roughly $500,000-worth of jewelry.

The incident happened between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 31 at Salado Creek Jewelers.

Authorities say two unknown suspects were caught on surveillance camera carrying tools to cut through the outside wall of the building. The two cut through the dry wall directly into the safe.

Once entry was made, the suspects stole a large amount of jewelry worth roughly $500,000.

Authorities believe the two suspects are men. They are described as slender and were last seen wearing blue jeans, tennis shoes, and dark hoodies. The two covered their faces and hands.
