Police: Suspect arrested for burglary of habitation, vehicles

HARKER HEIGHTS, TX — A suspect was arrested after police were responding to a burglary call Monday morning.

Police said at approximately 3:25 a.m., officers were dispatched to a burglary of habitation in progress in the 1200 block of Lancelot Dr.

While officers were responding to the area, it was learned that the homeowner was actively arguing with the suspect in the garage.

Another called said they heard what they believed were gunshots in the area.

When officers arrived on the scene, the homeowner was located running down the street chasing the suspect. Officers said they were given a description of the suspect and where he was going.

Officers began searching in the immediate area and located the suspect. The suspect matched the description of the one who entered the home as well as the vehicle in the driveway.

The suspect was taken into custody.

During the investigation, it was determined that the burglary may have been connected with multiple vehicle burglaries in the area.
