A Bell County Grand Jury returned two indictments against 49-year-old Willis Everett Washington II in connection with an April 7 shooting in Harker Heights.
Washington remains in the Bell County Jail on $1,500,000 million bond on a murder charge and tampering with physical evidence charge.
On April 7, 2020, at approximately 2:59 am, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Trail Crest related to a gunshot victim.
On arrival, Harker Heights Police Officers located a 47 year old Latonya Washington deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
On April 9, 2020, Harker Heights Police Department obtained a Warrant for Murder for Willis Everett Washington, II related to the death investigation from April 7, 2020 in the 800 block of Trail Crest.
Washington was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman with a bond set at $1,500,000.00 and remains in the Bell County Jail.
