KILLEEN, TX — Killeen Police say a motorcyclist is in critical but stable condition after an accident Sunday evening.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Ft Hood Street and Elms Road in reference to a crash involving a motorcycle on May 3 around 5:59 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a black Harley Davidson was traveling southbound in the inside lane on Ft Hood Street entering the intersection of Elms Road with a solid green light.

A gray Ford Focus that was in the center turn lane facing northbound with a flashing yellow arrow attempted to turn left.

The Ford Focus failed to yield right of way (left turn) and turned left in front of the motorcycle causing a collision.

The operator of the motorcycle was airlifted to Baylor Scott and White in critical but stable condition, according to Killeen police.

The operator of the Focus reported no injuries.
