Late-night domestic dispute leaves two people dead in Killeen

KILLEEN, TX — Killeen Police say a late-night domestic disturbance has led to two people deceased.

Police were dispatched to the 3900 block of Tatonka Drive at 11:54 p.m., on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, after receiving a call in reference to a shooting.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a female victim and a male were involved in a domestic disturbance when the male produced a handgun and shot his wife.

The male was in the garage when officers arrived and then shot himself, taking his own life.

According to police, three children were in the residence and they were unharmed.

Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced the female, 34-year-old Tiffany Shaquina Shepard, deceased at 2:12 a.m. and the male, 40-year-old Archie Andrew Mitchell at 2:14 a.m.

Johnson ordered autopsies to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
