KILLEEN, TX — The Killeen Independent School District is warning parents that a document circulating on social media saying male high school students must undergo a mandatory genital inspection is a hoax.
In a Facebook, the Killeen ISD says a document circulating on social media pertaining to male high school physicals was not sent out by the district. The fake letter stated that male high school students would be required to participate in a mandatory genitalia inspection.
Killeen ISD says they have reported the document as a hoax to several social media sites in order to have the content removed.
A free athletic physical was held by Killeen ISD earlier this year. The district says "under no circumstances does the district condone such requirements or behavior."
