TEMPLE, TX — A couple who regularly dines at the La Riv Kitchen and Bar were feeling generous this week.
As they paid their bill, the two left a $800 tip for the four servers working at the restaurant, with each person taking home $200.
The servers say they were not expecting the tip and are very thankful for their customers.
"I know 2020 has not been a good year for a lot of people. With that, everybody has their own story that this year has brought. So for someone to think of us servers in that way, because it's our job to serve others. So to have someone come in and serve us that way was truly humbling and a very genuine experience that we're all very thankful for," said Brandy Herrington, one of the servers.
The owner at La Riv expanded the restaurant's hours when dining rooms were able to reopen in an effort to help offset the loss when the dining room was forced to closed.
La Riv Kitchen and Bar is located on West Adams in Temple.
