Copperas Cove Sheriff's arrest fugitive in Killeen

COPPERAS COVE, TX — On July 15, 2020 at approximately 1430 hours, Coryell County Sheriff’s Deputies from the Undercover Narcotics Interdiction Team (U.N.I.T.), along with the Bell County Organized Crime Unit conducted a felony warrant service at Hallmark Inn & Suites, 4500 E Central Texas Expressway, Killeen TX.

Fabien Paul Ramirez from Copperas Cove, TX was taken into custody at the said location after an ongoing investigation led to the whereabouts of Ramirez, who had been evading and hiding from law enforcement officials for approximately nine months.

Ramirez had two outstanding, felony warrants for Manufacture or Delivery of Methamphetamines over 1 gram under 4 grams and Manufacture or Delivery of Methamphetamines over 4 grams under 200 grams.

He also had an outstanding felony warrant from Waco Police Department for Forgery.

During the investigation, Coryell County Sheriff’s Office UNIT Investigators received information of a possible location that Ramirez was known to be residing. The information was confirmed that he was still in the room and was eventually located hiding in the bathroom when Coryell County Sheriff’s Office UNIT Investigators and Bell County Organized Crime Unit Members made entry.

Ramirez was taken into custody without incident.

Illegal narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia were found in the room where Ramirez was taken into custody and further criminal charges may be pending based on the ongoing investigation.
