Copperas Cove police were able to reunite a lost tortoise who was on the run Monday.
The police department said the tortoise was on a "really slow jog" and having a "shell of a time" before patrol found him.
"As soon as he started to come out of his shell, his owner was located!" said police. "It was fun while it lasted."
