KILLEEN, TX — The City of Killeen is waiving plumping permit fees for repairs associated with the winter storm.

Last week's hard freeze impacted a lot of Killeen properties, causing damage to water service lines and pipes.

The City says it is waiving plumbing permit fees until further notice.

Plumbers must still apply for permits. This can be done online, by email to BuildingPermits@KilleenTexas.gov, by fax to (254) 501-6302 or in person at 100 E. Avenue C.

The City says approvals will be expedited.

Officials also say plumbers may submit proof of final repair digitall rather than having to schedule an inspector to witness it.

Questions related to the permitting process can be directed to the Building Inspections Division at (254) 501-7763 or BuildingPermits@KilleenTexas.gov.
