Boil water notice issued for properties on Veterans Memorial Blvd, 54th St.

KILLEEN, TX — A boil water notice has been issued for properties on Veterans Memorial Blvd.

A boil water notice is issued effective May 19, 2020 at 7 a.m. for properties located at 3402, 3404, 3530, 3600, 3606, 3608, 3612, 3616 and 3716 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard.

Scheduled replacement of a fire hydrant at 3716 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard requires interrupting water service, which necessitates a boil water order, according to the City of Killeen.

Crews will complete repairs and remain onsite until service is restored. Once service is restored, all water must be boiled prior to consumption.

Affected properties have been notified directly.

A boil water notice is also issued effective May 19, 2020 at 7 a.m. for properties located at the following addresses:

  • 4015, 4201, 4203, 4213, 4217 and 4307 E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard
  • 548 53rd Street
  • 512 through 539 54th Street
  • 502 through 535 56th Street

Scheduled replacement of a fire hydrant and valve on 54th Street requires interrupting water service, which necessitates a boil water order. Crews will complete repairs and remain onsite until service is restored. Once service is restored, all water must be boiled prior to consumption.

Residents at these addresses should boil all water prior to consumption until water sampling results confirm that no contamination occurred. Public notice will be issued when the notice is lifted.
